Local 763 is a very diverse Union. We serve both the public and private sectors. We represent governmental agencies of all kinds, school districts, newspapers, manufacturers, drivers, and many more professions. We get our strength because we are a community of working men and women, who together, continue the fight for fair wages, good benefits, safe working conditions, dignity, and respect.

The Objectives of this Local Union are:

To unite into one labor organization where all workers are eligible for membership, regardless of religion, race, creed, color, national origin, age, or sex;

To engage in organizing workers and to provide service to those who are organized;

To secure improved wages, hours, working conditions and other economic advantages through organization, negotiations and collective bargaining through legal and economic means, and other lawful methods;

To provide educational advancement and training for employees, members and officers;

To safeguard, advance and promote the principles of free collective bargaining , the rights of workers, farmers and consumers, and the security and welfare of all people by political, educational and other activity;

To engage in cultural, civic, legislative, political, fraternal, educational, charitable, welfare, social, and other acitivities which further the interests of this organization and its membership, directly or indirectly;

To provide financial and moral assistance to other labor organizations or other bodies having purposes and objectives in whole or in part similar or related to those of this organization;

To engage in community activities which will advance the interest of this organizationand its members in the community and in the nation, directly or indirectly;

To protect the Union as an institution and to perform it's legal and contractual obligations;

To carry out the objectives of the International Union as an affiliate thereof and its duties as such an affiliate;

To receive, manage, invest or otherwise use the funds and property of this organization to carry out the duties and to achieve the objectives forth.
