On September 20, 2025, Shop Stewards and members gathered at the Teamsters Building for the Teamsters Local 763 Annual Shop Steward Training Seminar. With more than 100 members signed up, this year’s seminar saw one of the highest levels of participation to date, reflecting the Local’s strong commitment to education, solidarity, and effective representation.
The day began with a shared breakfast, giving members the opportunity to connect, network, and build relationships before the training began. The session officially opened with remarks from Secretary-Treasurer Chad Baker, who welcomed attendees and underscored the importance of the training.
The program was conducted by Paul Trujillo from the IBT Training and Development Department, who brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the seminar. His guidance emphasized practical skills and strategies to help Shop Stewards carry out their responsibilities effectively, ensuring they are prepared to advocate for members in the workplace.

Attendees appreciated the use of real-world case studies, the open Q&A discussions, and the opportunity to share experiences with one another. The interactive format created an environment that encouraged collaboration and strengthened unity across the Local.
The seminar concluded on a high note with prize raffles, bringing an element of fun and camaraderie to the end of a productive day.
